What's the difference between apple cider and apple juice?

All apple juice starts as cider, but the two are very different. If one was to extract the juice from the apple and bottle it, they would have apple cider. Our cider is a raw product, that is, it is unpasteurized and unfiltered. We add nothing to our cider but the local Julian apples themselves, no water, sugar, or preservatives The taste of apple cider is reminiscent of biting into a fresh apple. Cider is tart yet refreshing, good for you, too!

Apple cider can then be filtered, pasteurized, diluted with water, frozen, concentrated, artificially colored, or a whole myriad of other things added to become apple juice. Large-scale apple juice production operations do these things to add shelf life and a certain expected look to their  juice, all the while robbing the juice of its natural freshness.

Try our raw cider today, you'll be glad you did.

Is your cider a seasonal product?

Unfortunately, yes. Since we only press local apples, we are limited by our local apple season, which is usually between September and January.

Our berry ciders are available year round, however.

How long does your cider last?

Since our cider is a raw product, refrigeration is a must. However, it will last 2-3 hours unrefrigerated, so long as it remains out of direct sunlight, just long enough for your car ride home.

Once in the refrigerator, you can expect 2-3 weeks of shelf life.

Our cider can also be frozen almost indefinitely. We recommend taking a bit of the cider out as it will expand when frozen.
